The black fae moved silently among the tall trees that made up the formidable forest in these lands. The waterfall's pounding steadily grew louder and stronger as Chemical Warfare drew closer. The sound of the water intrigued her - the taste of moisture in the air was an unknown element to the delicate filly. Growing up in a desert where there was little water had transformed the fae into an athletic and hardy being, one who adored water and the sensations it brought with it. In her desperation to find the source of the heavenly sound of the crashing water, Chem missed the scent of a male's claiming of the land and unawares of the possible beings around her.
The pounding, crashing drumroll reached a peak as Chem rounded a particularly large tree and came upon a lake with the adjoining waterfall. A rare grin worked it's way on to the fae's pretty gold-streaked face and she pranced up to the edge of the expanse of water, taking a long drought before splashing her way into the cool depths. Glowing gold eyes glimmered with a usually-suppressed glee as the cool water distorted her red and gold swirls. Powerful legs covered with soft feathers stroked powerfully through the water as she struck towards the waterfall, craving the feel of water immersing her.

He smiled to himself as he watched the pretty creature fluttering about admiring his waterfall. It was time to pull the mask on, over his personality anyway. It was easier to catch a lovely creature with honey rather then vinegar. .He stepped out from the forest with his wings neatly folded to his body. Take your time dear, you are safe here. However I claim you as mine. his voice was masculine and confident. This little mare had wandered into the wrong waterfall if she just expected him to let her leave. Deep teal eyes washed over her as he calmly walked to her side. There was no need to rush. He was a pegasus after all and he could chase down any god-damn land bound mare that cared to run.
At least if they played their hand right they would be safeand he would be merciful and almost kind. they would be hoarded and protected infront of this very waterfall. I am Poltergeist monarch of this kingdom,, welcome to your new home in kingdom Zyth.

Take your time dear, you are safe here. The masculine voice startled Chem out of her joyful stupor and she whirled on her hind legs - however graceful and useful this movement was on dry land, the filly was currently in shoulder-deep water and the drag of the cool liquid got her off-balance. Red-coloured legs churned the water wildly as she slipped over, submerging under the water for a few brief moments before her feet managed to find purchase. Coming up with a gasp, the filly spluttered, clearing water out of her nose and mouth. With a quick shake of her black cranium, Chemical eyed the stallion nervously as he approached her.
Chemical Warfare took a few steps sideways and forward as to put some distance between herself and the huge, snowy-white brute as well as get out of the deeper water. Glowing golden eyes regarded him with open curiosity as well as a hostile-innocence.
With all due respect, sir, I don't believe that I am owned by anyone...
Chemical Warfare moved slowly out of the water, turning around so that her curious-coloured eyes never left the stallion. He was an odd colour as well - she had never seen another being with such a pure coat. His wings and horn fed most of her curiosity however - never before had she come across another horse with such peculiar growths!
Poltergeist, Chem stumbled over the unfamiliar name in a sweet, subdued voice she used when trying to placate someone as well as in the presence of others that made her nervous and shy. A right king you are, but I belong to no land. Many disregard me, many fear me, and many despise me. Therefore, I prefer to wander alone. I beg your pardon, but I really should be on my way now. Thank you for allowing me use of your wonderful waterfall and lands... With a bob of her head, Chemical Warfare backed further away from the stallion, eyeing him with a wary golden globe.

There is no need to panic darling. However, I do want you here. And as a king I may claim subjects, wether they are willing or not. He stretched his large wings out infront of her like a barrier. You will find I can be quite convincing and I will make it worth your while to stay, you will be safe here, to wander the lands of Zyth as you please. a snort escaping his nostrils as he moved calmly to close the distance between them. He didn't mind that she fought, it would make it all the sweeter when she came to submit. He would have this mare. His teal eyes watching her. Even if she took of at a very fast pace he could easily out pace her and land infront of her with those massive wings.
He was trying to be friendly but her fake politeness was rubbing his ribs the wrong way. She was fighting but she was trying to protect her hide by not being frank. Where else do you have to go little mare? his words were soft and welcoming. Little did she know that by standing foot within these lands she had basically already offered herself to his harem. She would have to be very crafty to escape, and Mr Giest wasn't about to let her slip through.

The stallion's words did nothing to reassure. Chem eyed him suspiciously, not liking his arrogance and the smooth confidence that radiated from the brute.
Now sir, I do believe that is no way to treat a lady. Simply asking politely may get you where you want to be a lot quicker!
Chemical Warfare looked him up and down, taking in his huge presence and the horns and wings. She knew that he could outstrip her physically, but mentally she wasn't so sure. Although the mare was obedient to those above her, Chem didn't appreciate overbearing, rude stallions and treated them the way they treated her.
Why sir, I have many places to go. I could go to Heaven or to Hell, or I could seek solace with one who isn't as arrogant as one like yourself. Now Poltergeist, if you would excuse me...
A smirk played around the corners of the mares mouth. Maybe some little voice in her head knew that her chances of leaving this land were slim, but her personality just couldn't resist stirring up the brute and taking a bite out of his attitude. His deceptively soft voice did nothing to soothe the black, red and gold mare as she knew the games that could be played with deception of that sort - murder, brutality and lies. Well, two can play at that game, can't they?[/blockquote]

Right now she was fighting him like a brick wall against a tide. She may stand tall and speak just as strongly now but in time she would erode like the brick to the ocean. She would be engulfed and would subcomb to his watery embrace...well feathery embrace perhaps. This was new, normally by the time he lifted his wings and talked to them a bit they would quiver and take for cover. But this mare had some fire. she fought. This was going to be more entertaining then he had previous anticipated.
Now to speak to you like you were anything less then an equel, perhaps that be with a blatent statement of the facts; is more of a way to speak to a lady then to surround you with with soft things and lavish attention upon you. Somehow I don't think thats what you want, you like this fight, I can tell or you would have fled the moment you had saw me. Surely you could have smelt that this land belonged to someone the moment you wandered into it? I think you came here looking for a challenge, you are testing me my dear. his words were more genuine now as the cogs turned and his logic attempted to explain the simple puzzle before him. He was not stupid; but he didn't need others to know that. It was better to be underestimated then for someone to know his true potential.
that sounds like a convient excuse to cover the ruse of you having no where to go. It doesn't matter anyway because this place is more perfect then you could imagine. he lazily stretched his wings and smiled at her, his teal eyes examining her carefully. What would she do? Yes he was arrogant but he believed he had good cause to be. He was basking in the struggle, soon enough she would understand.

The mare could see the stubborn confidence in the stallions eyes and a frustrated snort slipped through her carefully concealed barrier. Stallions! The stallion stood before her in all his might, his wings large and mighty and impressive. Although still Chem was not in the slightest bit interested. A small smile played around her mouth again, this time an expression of mocking amusement at the stallion's mighty display of male-arrogance. Yes, sir, I do enjoy a fight. I enjoy the bloodlust, the adrenaline coursing through your veins. Fighting the flee instinct and coming up to pound living flesh beneath your hooves. Yes, I enjoy a fight and not much will take that small amount of pleasure that I like to keep close, away from me. In all honesty sir, no scent reached my nostrils except for the smell of pure, fresh water. No other scent came to my senses and if you're concerned about my not noticing something, I can assure you that if I ruled a land my borders would be kept more secure from intruders.
The brute stretched his wings as he bragged about the perfect land. Pfft. Just because it had that big waterfall pounding behind them... Her ears flickered backwards and she chewed her mouth a little. The strands of her black, red and gold hair were slightly damp still but standing in the sun had dried out her coat which now gleamed, sunlight reflecting off of the lustrous hairs. A different approach soon took place in her mind and her head dropped to the ground, mouth working as her ears flicked to the side.
You are right, sir Poltergeist. I don't have anywhere to go. This land is lovely and I would be honoured if you were to accept me as a member of your herd...
The words tasted bitter in her mouth, the feeling of giving in leaving an unpleasant feel to her thoughts - even if it was fake. She kept her head down and eyes averted from the mighty beast, her acting impeccable, allowing him to believe she had given in...

He let the snide comment about his ability to guard his borders slide. Biting to her challenge would not archieve anythiing other then to amuse her. Perhaps this mare was more trouble then she would be worth. But she would be the perfect symbol of submission, a feisty mare that would still listen and do as she was told eventually. His ears flicked alert listening to her words. The strange creature she was. Well most horses seemed a little strange to him. Perhaps it just was that he over thought everything and the perfect mask he displayed at most times made it hard for him to appreciate that sometimes things were actually as they seemed and that some were actually genuine,
Now although she seemed completly sincere the complete turn of her additude made it too obvious that this was an act. He let the thought ride in his mind for a moment letting a wide smile draw to his lips and replied Well then, welcome my dear, What was your name? those words wether she realised it or not sealed the deal as well as his claiming her. Now well and truely none could not say that she would be here as a prisioner for as long as it took until she gave over truely. This was just a facade she put forth but he was happy to play the silly stallion that believed her for a while. She could not know herself that he was more shrewd then his appearence let on.

Chem kept a watchful eye on the stallion as she raised her head, taking a step back to see him slightly better. She was slightly disappointed her taunt had not elicited a response but shrugged it off, realising he probably knew her game nearly as good as herself. She watched his position and the grin that spread across his face, the knowing look in her eye and became suspicious. Maybe her change of heart didn't convince him...
My name is Chemical Warfare - call me what you will.
Her black ears flickered backwards slightly as the full extent of his words washed over her. A frown mottle her face and distorted the delicate swirls that covered her cranium. He seemed... satisfied. As if he won. She bared her teeth a little and ears flattened.
I will accept your hospitality and reside here. I thank you for providing me with a home. However, I am not yours - I am not anyone's but my own! Call me what you will to others, but I deem myself fit to roam these lands and follow my lead. I will listen to your orders and respect your requests, but I suggest you do not try and exert your will onto me. It will not work.
Thick sarcasm marred her words and Chem's muscles tensed, ready to spring away if need be. Her golden eyes flashed even brighter as her ears remained hidden in her multi-coloured mane. The swirls along her body distorted as her muscles flexed and her heart raced in her chest, prepared for whatever reaction the brute gave - mental or physical.

Each word she spoke of staying was small victories in his mind. She understood now. She could moan and resist but she would never get away. His mind lazily considered her other statements again. He would do something about the border. It would be foolish to not take the observation as good advice. He would visit the pet shop and find himself an otherwordly pack. They would be bred for the sole purpose of defence, well...that and keeping the harem contained.
Sarcasm was not lost on him; but he didn't exactly understand why she was being sarcastic she seemed pretty determined in what she was saying and the sarcasm was pretty unnessicary. May that be so, it is not as nearly as bad as you think it is. There is a thick forest in which you will be alone as much as you like, the waterfall you have already enjoyed, a rocky mountain top where you can scout out over the land as far as your eyes can see. And much else of my land has not yet been explored entirely. There is much to be interested in as a spirited determined horse. You will do well here if you relax a little. he teased gently feeling himself relax slightly. At least with this mare he would get the truth, or moreso mostly the truth. This would prove to be valuable he was sure.

Chemical Warfare sighed as she saw the victorious-smug expression in the brute's eyes. Could she ever win against this stallion? Don't think so... she thought wryly. However, Poltergeist seemed distracted for some reason, lost in his own thoughts, and she took the opportunity to study him more so than before. The fae could definitely see why he was impressive and imposing to others - he was absolutely huge in height, his wings and his horn making him even more formidable. And handsome.
Shaking her head, Chem tuned in just in time to listen to his words again. Flicking her ears forward, she dropped her head a fraction of an inch.
She couldn't help it - Chem let out a soft snort of amusement and a small smile appeared on her mouth at his teasing... Wait, teasing?! She looked at the brute in surprise - she would not have expected him to tease someone, let alone her! Shaking her head again, Chem thought about her response carefully.
No, it may not be as bad as I first thought and I apologise for my harsh words. I shall enjoy your waterfall as water is what makes my blood sing, but solitude is not what I really want, despite my pretenses - I have been wandering along for many months and am craving company of my own. And I shall take you up on your offer - I will be delighted to explore these vast and beautiful lands. And relax sir? No, relax is not something I am familiar with!
Chem was a little shocked about how much she revealed, embarrassed that she let the stallion know some of her more private thoughts. Just as she let out a small snort, she felt a small kick in her stomach. The black fae tossed her head in surprise and turned her neck to look at her stomach, black-red-and-gold forelock falling across her eyes. Another kick tickled the inside of her stomach again and she snorted in surprise. The baby was kicking! Looking at her sides now, she couldn't believe how big she was already. It was nearly time....

he death of his first had hit him hard. And now the new mare he brought home was to hopefully successfully bare him a child. It would not be the heir to the monarchy but it would be loved and cherished all the same. The children of his blood were precious, and thus they would be treated. And also the mares that bore them of course were elevated to a greater status in his eyes. To bare his child was an act of submission. An act of declaring their intentions, chemical had fought so hard for the longest time. But now here she was with the kicking and living testimony to his claim inside of her. Soon it would be born and she would be further bound to these lands.
The sound of wolves howling on the distance rung in his ears in a solemn but welcome song. The pack had barely ceased their songs since the death of his son. Osiris his name was. He would ride the clouds and he would be magnificent in all but life. He was too much for this world and was released into a far bigger playground, much to the despair of his waiting parents. But poltergeist was as always the king of masks. This mare would not know his sorrow that was expressed in private with the matron of his monarchy. She would know that the child was missed but she would never know that he shed a tear. The mask was forever in place over his white face.
He heard the sounds of panting and the falling of paws behind him as the pack arrived. The young dire wolves had quickly been growing and starting to go off on their own adventures. It was time. His eyes set on them as he quickly decided which was most appropriate. Here he said to the male with a goldy coat, speckled and patched with lighter and darker colours. A mane of hair covers the front half of his body and his eyes are a bright read. This wolf will now be your s. he will guard you and your foal in and out of his territory. Treat him with care, he and the pack have solved our little border issue… he let his tone trail off as he smiled and looked at her.
Well you’d best get to relaxing here after your foal is born, until then I understand labour can be hard. he didn’t really understand but it seemed to be the appropriate thing to say. He watched as the young wolf nervously approached the mare to sniff her and take in her scent. He was a smart one and would learn commands fast enough.

The sad lament of the wolves that Chem had glimpsed briefly amongst the trees tickled her ears and she flattened them against her head, trying to rid the heart-wrenching song from her head. She had learnt of the death of Polter's firstborn and was sad for him as well as grieved at the loss of life of an innocent. She had heard that the foal had been born with wings and the beauty combined with his mother and father.
Chem watched Poltergeist with solemn eyes, watching for a sign of loss that had coloured the land a bleary grey. However, a cold mask had been held in place over the stallion's features and she could determine neither head nor tails of his emotions. A sour thought passed through her mind, one that whispered to her dirtily. Not important, not cared for. Grievances shall not be held if one were to pass away. The loss of a prince and heir is never-forgotten, whilst any mere child of mine would be merely sad. Shaking her head, Chem looked away, over the shoulder of the brute in front of her and watched curiously as the pack of wolves approached.
Here, the stallion said, surprising her when he ushered forward the pup she had been eyeing. His coat was beautiful, a gold mixed with lighter and darker hues. A gold to match her own coat. A smile lit upon her face as she lowered her muzzle to the ground, flaring her nostrils as she watched the pup was singled out. A soft nicker escaped her lips as she welcomed the young wolf with the red eyes.
This wolf will now be yours. he will guard you and your foal in and out of this territory. Treat him with care, he and the pack have solved our little border issue…
Chem looked up at the huge stallion and a genuine smile lit up her face.Mine? I cannot express my gratefulness, but I thank you, sir. He will be treasured and treated as kindly and fairly as my own foal. And I am glad to hear that the security around your borders has been increased.. it was certainly lacking before, if I may say so myself.
At his next words, Chem nodded, feeling wary of the discomfort she was feeling. She could see his internal debate in his eyes and looked away out of respect, down to the wolf pup. Lowering her head to the ground again, she let out a welcome snort that ruffled the pup's fur as he stepped closer and sniffed her in return.
Raising her head, Chem felt an alarming kick further back in her stomach and a tight contraction. Eyes narrowing, she looked at the stallion. It is time. Time I leave and return with our child. I name the pup Zalic, for it is a brave and smart name. Now, I must leave. With her last urgent word, Chem turned on her heel and trotted off, letting instincts guide the fae to a safe land to birth her foal. The soft pad-pad of Zalic's paws sounded beside her and the mare spared a glance down at the puppy, blowing softly at it in a friendly, protective way.
OOC: I don't think I shall post in the breeding/birthing lands, just return here with Ghost? :3

________________________________________________Chemical Warfare walked into the lands, a small and content smile upon her face as the unfamiliar, but definitely right, feel of her beautiful filly leaning against her hind leg. The little foal was born healthy and well, fully developed with the beautiful wings of her father. A pegasus. The young filly had also inherited many of her parents markings, marking her as strange and beautiful. Swirls, dots, paint markings and stripes. Already heavy feather dotted the small foal's feet and her mane stuck up at odd ends. Chem was awfully proud.
The filly waddled next to her mum on wobbly legs - she was still trying to get used to the lanky things. She was awfully curious and intelligent but already dearly loved the puppy. As they trekked further into her new home, the filly stopped and let her dam walk on before spinning around to face the puppy Zalic. Zalic growled playfully, darting forward to nip the filly gently on the fetlock before bounding after their mother, mottled-golden fur rippling as the two young ones raced each other back to Chemical, the filly floating somewhat as she extended her wings that glowed ever so slightly at the tips and used her legs to propel her through the air. Glancing back, Chem furrowed her brow even as she smiled, concerned and amused by the two little ones' antics.
Finally, the trio stopped as Chemical neared the clearing where she had left Polter, letting out a soft whinny at the same time as Zalic barked, announcing their arrival.

His ears swivelled alert to the sounds of one of his mares returning from the foaling ground. It didn't take the white beast long to find her again, following his nostrils and the sound of her voice. Hello Lady Chemical Warfare, and what is the name of our lovely daughter? he asked softly before turning to the foal, announcing chemicals new title as comfortably as any other speech.
My name is Poltergiest, I am your father and this is your home. he said softly letting his eyes rest over her. Yes. She was most deffinately his. The white wings and her build the telling factor. Chemical had been true and has birthed his brood. A lovely girl at that!
