APHISSA
The grass may not have been greener on the other side, but the fruit certainly looked riper, and anyway it was there at all.
Aphissa stood several feet away from a rich, succulent apple tree, whose fruits she could see on the ground or in easy reach of her head. That apple tree mocked her, it's delicious fruit catching the light and looking, for a moment, like opaque rubies. Delicious opaque rubies.
The problem was that the apple tree was in a king's land, and she lacked enough knowledge about these territories she had found herself in to be able to know if the kings around here were welcome to visitors, especially to visitors who really only wanted to grab some fruit and then be on their merry way.
Alas, there was only so much taunting a girl could take. When staring yielded no results (oh, what she wouldn't give to have some of that telekinesis she'd heard other horses had), she sighed and trotted forward, looking furtively around, until she reached the tree.
At least the fruit was as delicious as it looked.

LALIA
The brown siren cautiously paced around the tropics. She took in a deep breath of the fresh air and she was a bit taken aback when a strange scent washed upon her. She did not remember anyone coming to greet her and ask to join her lands earlier. A bit confused Lalia jogged towards the cause of the scent with a bit of annoyance riddled across her face. She understood it was tedious to come and greet her but didn't it occur to this stranger just wandering around was rude?
Her thoughts were cut short as she laid eyes upon a purple fae snatching a piece of fruit from one of the trees. Lalia observed how timid and paranoid the mare looked and she gave up on the slight anger she had felt previously. A smile grin crawled upon her chocolate lips as the maiden enjoyed her snack.
"I hope it wasn't too ripe.

Oh, the sweet apple of victory. Aphissa enthusiastically and quickly finished off her first apple, and was about to reach for another when she noticed that she wasn't alone. That didn't particularly surprise her-- Monarchs had this weird sixth sense for knowing when people were in their territories, and coming out or sending someone to meet them.
What must've registered on Aphissa's face first, however, was confusion: this made, Lalia, smelled like the leader of these lands, but clearly she wasn't a stallion. Was she a queen? Or did this land hold more opportunities than the one she had come from?
Well, regardless, the important thing was that Aphissa wasn't getting her head bitten off for essentially stealing. She drew her head away from the other apples laying temptingly in her reach, and tried to appear as innocent as possible-- hard to do when you had apple juice and bits on your face. She gave it a valiant attempt anyway.
"It was lovely." she answered, and then glanced the way she had come-- was this a trick question, about to be followed by an accusation? Certainly the mare seemed pleasant enough, for the moment, but she'd looked angry when she'd initially approached. She was barely in the territory; perhaps she could say that it was an accidental transgression, that she didn't know where the borders were. "Are these your lands?"

LALIA
As the maiden replied Lalia flicked brown auds into her direction. Lalia laughed as she had reached for another one. "Do not let me stop you from eating your hearts desire." Lalia chuckled softly looking over the strange mare in her presence. It was good to see another horse around here.
As the purple hued fae looked over her puzzled Lalia merely cocked her head. Was it strange to have a mare greet her? As the queen wasn't it her responsibility? "What displeases you so my dear? Is it uncommon from where you come from to see a lone Queen ruling?" Lalia asked with a bit of curiousity.
Lalia was hungry herself and the mud colored mare reached for a scarlet treat. When her teeth broke the deep crimson skin Lalia nearly shuddered from the taste. It was sweet like honey but had just enough of bitterness to make it perfect. "Wow. I haven't eaten something that good in what seems like forvever. Oh, how rude of me! I am Lalia." The regal siren smiled at the brighty stained mare with forced cheerfulness.
OOC: Sorry this took sooooo long! I had to re-write this sooooo many times.

OOC| It's no worry at all! <3 I know waht it's like to be busy.
Aphissa did not miss the forced note in the queen's voice, but the fact that this mare was the queen-- and, more surprisingly, the only queen and primary rular-- meant that this situation was somewhat more delicate then she'd originally been thinking it to be. she didn't want to offend this stranger, or at least not any more then she already had by wandering in and helping herself to the bounties of this land.
"Nothing displeases me." She answered, her tones completely honest. "In fact, it's good to hear. I'm used to headstrong stallions who think they own all lands being primary rulers. It's why I'm a wanderer." She smiled, perking her ears forward at the queen, "So if anything, I'm quite pleased to see a capable mare heading her own territories." Aphissa had always wondered why that situation were not more common.
It took a second for Aphissa to realize that the answer she'd given was probably too plain-spoken. How barbaric she must seem, having waltzed in and being offered the comfort of food and momentary shelter (neither of which she was ordinarily concerned with, but in her condition were much more attractive now), to respond by talking off the queen's ears. Looking somewhat abashed, she tried to sound more proper with her own introduction... and probably fell flat, because Aphissa and formality got on as well as oil and water did. "I am called Aphissa. Err, Well met?"
