Daesia Daesia was tired.
She was tired in the conventional sense: she had been steadily progressing in... whatever direction this was for a day now. But she was also tired of wandering, of not always having enough to eat, of being exposed to the elements. Everything, really. She was tired of everything.
For the first few weeks, everything had been great. It had been wonderful to get away from the strictures of her last herd, to be free and clear and able to do whatever she wanted! But over time, the fun wore off and the realities of fending for oneself asserted themselves, which was especially problematic for a mare who was not used to doing so.
It was times like this when she regretted the decision to leave; it had stormed earlier that day, and only recently had her coat dried: the chill in the air after the storm remained, and she felt awful and grimy and covered in mud. It was disgusting.
At least there was food here, in this place she had just found. She wasn't hungry, not yet, but it was a comforting thought to know that she could linger and perhaps rest in this place, and not starve for it.

[/center] the sound of two wolves howling together echoed through the land, with 3 small yowling and yipping noises following their parents. this sound was soon to be over turned by the thudding of wings as a large pearl coloured stallion landed beside the mare. Sharp teeth reaching to extend, and lay claim. You are mine now, come it is not safe around here...Don't mind the wolves they are mine. his teal eyes assessing her. He could not stand this place. It was full of those with no ambition and no desire to find their own ways. Waiting for someone else to find their way for them.
I am poltergiest Monarch of Zyth, and this is my new litter of wolf puppies, one will be assigned to protect you as soon as we arrive home he spread his large wings and snarled pinning his ears to his head effectively doing his best to herd the mare out of this dreadful place. trust me honey, this place is shocking, and its rather dull we should get out of here!]

Daesia Daesia was just finally relaxing when she snapped her head upwards, ears forward, panic starting to surge through her: wolves. She could hear them approaching, wolves! IT sounded like two adults and some puppies-- they didn't ordinarily take puppies out with them, did they?
Well, she didn't want to find out.
She turned tail and attempted to run-- but she didn't even get to start, because the sound of gigantic wings beating (which she originally thought was some kind of giant eagle or something) ended up being that of a pegasus. A male, who had landed behind her and extended his very sharp-looking teeth.
In surprise, she took some steps back, and then glanced behind her at the wolves, who had just now arrived.
Trust a stallion to greet someone with the phrase "You are mine now." She put her ears back for a moment, and then glanced again at the wolves- which apparently belonged to the stallion. She didn't want them or his sharp teeth put upon her.
And besides, hadn't she just been thinking how sick she was of wandering? Be careful what you wish for, indeed.
Dancing away from his teeth and wings, she allowed herself to be herded away from the claiming grounds, unable to get a word in edgewise. At least the wolves weren't snarling at her like their master was; Perhaps she could train whichever was assigned to her to be good and ladylike.
Externally, she did not say any of this- instead (still keeping away from his teeth), she put her head down and projected submission. "I will go with you to Zyth!". The subtext was you don't have to keep trying to bite me into it, but she dare not say that to a stallion- she remembered how this sort of relationship worked.
