Skyra grunted as she rolled on the grass, itching at a particularly annoying spot on her wither. Rolling onto one side, she rubbed her head up and down on the grass, enjoying the feel of the grass under her body. With a soft snort, she rolled up to lay on her legs and stayed that way peacefully for a while, nose resting on the ground and eyes shut as she basked in the sunlight.
After a measure of time, the filly rose to her full height of 16 hands and stretched, her pose similar to a cat's. Shaking her head, Sky wandered over to an azure, clear pool and looked down at her reflection. A white face with gold eyes stared back at her, dark lashes casting long shadows over her eyes. The rest of her body was a sleek, golden palomino with 4 long, white legs and large white flecks on her belly. Skyra was different from many other mares - she liked her mane and tail disheveled and knotted and grass and mud stains marred her coat. The filly took no pride in grooming herself - it was pointless in these lands anyway, where there were hidden mud puddles and grass seeds everywhere. Giving a soft snort, Skyra lowered her head to take a drink when a subtle footfall made her ears twitch backwards, the scent of a fellow horse reaching her nostrils a split second later.
Raising her head, the mare leaned backwards on her haunches and completed an impressive turn, forefeet completely off the ground. However, her speed and grace surprised the filly herself and she ended up on the ground in a tangled, sprawled heap, long forelock covering her eyes.
Trust me, of all people, to do that! the filly muttered to herself embarrassed, hoping that the horse she had heard and smelt was just a figure of her imagination.

Morguin had stood up that morning and finally decided that he needed mares. So he made his sinister way out to Amorrak. He was startled and hurt at how many horses shied away from him. Surely his coat wasn't that dirty, or perhaps he'd forgot to sharpen his horns? He shook his head and forgot about it, as he entered the grassy fields It wasn't long before he heard the horse. With his hearing he outlined her pretty form. "Hello, my name is Morguin." he said

A soft voice became known to the filly's ears and she turned her head from her sprawled position on the ground.
Hello, my name is Morguin. the voice said.
With a soft snort, the mare gathered her legs underneath her and pushed up from the ground for the second time that morning. With a quick whirl - that nearly spent her sprawling again - Skyra faced the newcomer. His features were... odd. She had never seen another like him!
Hello, Morguin. It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Skyra. the filly trilled with a sweet smile, her golden eyes sweeping across the strange form of the stallion. His looks did the opposite of repulsing her - she was enchanted and curious. She took a careful step closer to the big brute and looked up at him.
Sir, if it is not too rude of me, how are you able to see? And if you can't... how can you guide yourself around these lands with the grace and speed of an eagle?

For once someone did not recoil at his appearance. Although he was evil, and often liked to scare horses, he kind of was getting a little sick of it. "Greetings, Skyra." His ears twitched down, as he continued to stare blindly up at the sky. The mares question was quite plausible, nobody was ever curious, they just assumed that he couldn't see them. "My ears..." he twitched the large Chiropterian things "I have the ability to hear and make an outline of things that I hear. Like a bat!" He grinned and raised his brows "not creeped out yet?" he asked, unable to contain his glee at finding someone who didn't judge his appearance.

Greetings, Skyra the stallion said to her and Sky bowed her head with a smile in response. Her gold eyes watched the stallion, studying his unusual frame with open curiosity.
My ears... I have the ability to hear and make an outline of things that I hear. Like a bat! Not creeped out yet?
The palomino filly grinned at the stallion, a soft snort making her nostrils tremble.
I see. Now that must come in handy! And not to mention, I would much rather not see some beings - they need to remain unseen, some of them. And creeped out? No way! You're the most interesting horse I've had the pleasure of meeting... Skyra rambled on, her eyes never leaving the stallion. He was so interesting! His grin was infectious and the fae couldn't help but smile back. His company was nice - much nicer than most. She just hoped that her... bad... side wouldn't kick in soon.
With a shake of her head, the filly let the thought escape from her mind and rested a hind leg, lazily flicking her thick tail from side to side.

Morguin almost smiled, something nobody had seen in years. "Yes it does rather, living in a cave and all." he said, by now grinning. "Oh good, I am so glad! The pleasure is all mine!" he said, and laughed charmingly. He watched her closely. "Do you have a home?" he asked, feeling slightly awkward.

S K Y R A The stallion's twitching lips as he nearly smiled, nearly, had Skyra smiling shyly back. Not many like to smile around her, they tended to be a bit unnerved by her shyness and innocence... Shaking her golden head, the filly looked up at the stallion, tossing her ridiculously long forelock out of her gold eyes. As he laughed, she felt her ears prick forward and her strange, zebra-shaped gold markings appeared along her body, glowing the same hues as her eyes as happiness overwhelmed her, followed quickly by an intense shyness at the appearance of her oddities.. Skyra stepped forward to the stallion, flaring her nostrils as she took in more of his heady scent. He was so fascinating! She had never seen another like him and the fae was increasingly intrigued by the great brute before her. Do you have a home? His simple question caught her off guard and Sky's markings disappeared for a brief second before reappearing as a darker, more somber hue of gold. Her eyes radiated a deep sadness born of loneliness and a longing to find someone that would accept her. I did, until the call of the wild broke me and I walked away.. I have been alone for so long, I forget what having a home was like. Do you have a home? Is it nice? What's it like to have a home? Her golden, glowing eyes looked up at the stallion imploringly, her tone shy, innocent and sad. Despite a good upbringing, the fae always never seemed to fit in and a longing that nearly matched the call of the wild made her walk away from the only life she had ever known.

Morguin put his head down a little as she asked about his home. "Yes, yes I do. It's a little bit cold, and sort of dark and damp, but it's a home. I live in a large hall behind a waterfall in the mountains of Lothar. I'm the Monarch at Vaughn, leader of the great and wonderous
Lothar..." he almost scorned himself as he said tentatively " You-you could come and live there, if you want? You don't have to, I'd understand, it's a bit of an accquired taste..." OOC Nawwwwwww

S K Y R A Skyra lowered her head instinctively to mimic the odd stallion's position - an instinct born from years of being taught manners and the right way to act around monarchs, stallions and those of higher powers than her. Her gold eyes glowed brightly as she watched the stallion, listening to his warm voice.
Yes, yes I do. It's a little bit cold, and sort of dark and damp, but it's a home. I live in a large hall behind a waterfall in the mountains of Lothar. I'm the Monarch at Vaughn, leader of the great and wonderous Lothar...
Skyra giggled sweetly and her eyes widened in shock. Giggle? No one had ever made her giggle before. Looking confused and contrite, the fae took a step forward and lowered her head at the same time. Her position radiated an innocence born purely from being hidden from the world and the monsters in it - the reason why she didn't see Morguin as a monster but as someone just like her. Who was she to judge if they didn't have eyes? She had freaking glowing gold eyes! Who was Sky to judge if they had an odd tail? Hell, she had glowing zebra stripes on her back! Her innocence had been a hindrance to her whilst she roamed the lands in solitude. But now, it seemed that her upbringing had proved to have some sort of positive influence on her for once.
A home is a home, sir. Whether it be hot or cold, wet or dry, dead or alive - if you have others around you who value you and a place to call your own, I believe that you cannot want for much else in life. However, I am pleased to be in your company, sir. It is not often those of high standing bother themselves with one such as I. The mare's own words shocked her once more. Where were all these emotions coming from! She narrowed her eyes again, cross at herself although she didn't quite know why. What was it about this stallion that had her so... well, not tongue-tied, but the opposite!
You-you could come and live there, if you want? You don't have to, I'd understand, it's a bit of an accquired taste...
Skyra's eyes seemed to glow brighter as her heart skipped a beat. Live? With Morguin? A huge grin lit up the mare's face and her zebra stripes flashed and glowed with an increasing intensity. She closed her eyes briefly, embarrassed by her own rampant emotions but quickly opened them. She couldn't quite understand why he was so awkward and shy? Surely he must have asked many other mares to live with him? Why was she so special? Skyra shook her head to try and clear it of the negative thoughts and took a step closer to the brute. Maybe this was why she was giggling and coming out with odd words. His shy demeanor at the moment reminded the palomino mare of her own innocence and personality.
Live... with you? Why would you ask me though, sir? I would be delighted to, but only if you think it's a good idea... I can't benefit you with skills or traits - I have no fighting ability, I don't have any magical skills and I am certainly not worthy to carry and bear worthy foals!
Her ears flickered back against her head warily - she wasn't sure now if he was joking with her. The joy she had felt before disappeared rapidly and her eyes and stripes stopped glowing. Despite her innocence, the elders of her old herd had warned her of the games these monarchs play: feasting on the emotions of the fae, making them bear their child and then dispose of them like toys. A shudder wracked the mare's petite, athletic frame and she took a small step back, swishing her tail with uncertainty.
OOC: Shite, sorry. I don't even think I want to read that myself xD I'm so tired but I have so much muse it's come out in a huge emotional-baggage way xD But Morguin is so cuuuute <3
