Let's determine again why I'm the better stallion.
2 attacks, 1 dodge, for glory. I go first.
Do you agree to these terms?
- Typheous
OOC note: Ness hasn't done this in six years, so pardon my derp

We'll see about that...
I agree to the terms, brother. Let's begin this thing!

Typheous Today was a day of unexpecteds-- Typheous had not been expecting to meet his brother in Cervica, and he certainly hadn't been expecting his brother to offer him a challenge that he couldn't refuse. Nevertheless, he had, of course, accepted, and had led his brother here, to Mount Calor. These were the battle lands, which he had heard of, for formalized fighting, and privately he'd been entertaining the urge to test out skills his in this place. The chance to trounce his brother at the same was merely icing on the battle cake.
It didn't take long to find a clearing large enough and stable enough to fight on, in the craggy expanse of the old volcano. Once there, he turned to Nocturne and said, "This will do-- put your bird down, brother!" He waited until Hathor was out of the way, and then-- once Nocturne was facing him properly-- began the fight. Tempting as it was to strike when Nocturne's back was turned, he had more honor than that. Right now, anyway.
Once Nocturne was ready, he began his first attack. Charging forward to close the distance between the two of them, Typheous reared up and aimed his hooves directly at Nocturne's head, flailing them as gravity brought him back down to his feet.
Attack 1: Typheous rears up and aims his hooves at Noct's head on the way down.

Nocturne had followed Ty all the way out of Cervica to the dormant volcano. The land looked charred and black, fitting he supposed for a battle. He shivered under his black coat as he thought of the ensuing fight. Why did he always have to have such a bad temper and want to threaten people? He didn't have any particularly good fighting skills so why had he even bothered? Well, there was no backing out now so he just gritted his teeth and followed behind Typheous with a glare fixated on his back.
When they arrived Nocturne wasted no time putting down his "daughter" a few feet away. The chalice was also deposited on the ground next to her. "Be good and stay here, alright? Uncle Nocturne will be back to collect you in a moment." Hopefully.
[/color] With that he turned back to Typheous and stared him down, waiting. He didn't have to wait long for the red stallion charged forward but before Nocturne could even react to run to get away from him the hooves were already aiming at his head. Such a full on attack would possibly end the battle if they caught him full on but he would hardly be able to get away. Still, he closed his eyes and leaped away from the hooves with panic blossoming in his chest. Funny, it seemed like his body was lighter and faster. When he opened his eyes and landed about two feet away he found that Typheous seemed bigger. When his mouth also opened, instead of an angry whinny that came out it was a full-throated snarl. Whatever. Now it was his turn to attack. So, he leaped full on at the red stallion with his saber-fangs bared at his chest, aiming to rip a few tears into the chest. What Nocturne was unaware of though was that his form was changed to that of a pure black fox with the same blue markings. Dodge 1: Shifting into a fox and leaping away from Ty. Attack 1: Leaping at Ty's chest with fangs bared. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Typheous More things for the list of unexpected that covered today's events: Nocturne had just turned into a fox. Ty liked to think he could foresee most things in a battle, especially a battle against his brother, who he'd grown up fighting, but this was certainly NOT on the list of actions he'd thought he would see.
His hooves met no horseflesh, and he came down through empty air to land heavily, but that at least he had expected and was braced for: such attacks rarely actually landed, much less where they were supposed to go. Nevertheless, he was momentarily frozen with shock, because now nocturne was nowhere to be seen, a black fox in the place of the stallion he had been fighting.
So shocked was he that he didn't bother to dodge away from the fox's attack, and felt the teeth bite into his chest. That shook him out of his surprise, and he shrieked in rage and backed away, too late: streamers of blood fell from the wounds. If nothing else, it confirmed that the fox was Nocturne, and now he wanted revenge for the victory of first blood.
Lowering his head, he barred carnivore-sharp teeth and ran after his fox-brother, snapping those teeth at wherever they could reach. He was angry enough, now, that he wasn't thinking strait, and was simply trying to land a hit wherever he could.
Attack2: Trying to Bite fox-noct anywhere he can get. Question for admin: Is it considered a dodge if like, your opponent makes a called-shot towards a part of your body and you have it land somewhere else, or if you determine the severity of the wounds? or is a dodge totally no-hit?

He hadn't expected his brother to stand still and let him take a bite out of his chest but it had happened. Now he held on to this body part instead of letting go. He did wonder though why his whole body was off the ground that was when he noticed his nose for the first time. Normally he couldn't see the thing now he could see the top of his muzzle... his furry muzzle. What the hell just happened?
He didn't have long to ponder before he could feel Typheous grasping for him, no doubt ticked because of the turn of events. He had just landed on the ground when he felt his back grabbed in the sharp fangs of his brother. A sharp squeal of pain escaped his maw as his back was grabbed in those sharp teeth. He turned and aimed a quick swipe at his brother with his claws --claws what a new thing-- before scurrying away, trying to outrun his brother on his paws. This was certainly a new thing.
Attack 2: Swiping claws at Typheous.

Typheous Ty felt a feral surge of victory when his teeth met their mark and closed on the back of nocturne-fox, but it was fairly shortlived; Nocturne twisted around in his mouth and swiped claws at Ty's face, something he both felt and saw coming. He was a hunter; he knew what prey did in reaction, and he assumed a combatant in the form of a fox would do the same. Quickly releasing his bite, he let go of his brother and let Nocturne drop to the ground, raising his head quickly and away from the claws as he did so.
Dodge: dropped fox-nocturne, thus avoiding getting hit by the claws. aaand i think we are ready for judging now.

The victor is : Nine with nocturne
Comments for both:
Your ideas are interesting but I would have liked to see longer posts with more detail. Also I have next to no idea why they are fighting...this is something that should be throughout your posts, what is driving them to take the risk of being severely injured?
Foxes don't have claws nine? at least not ones to draw blood*puzzled* also as nocturne used his powers I would have liked to have seen something about the effort that it took, using powers is meant to be something that is tiring!
Also I would have liked you guys to actually agree that powers could be used, it should be part of your terms.
Nine only one by a margin just because I felt her ideas were a little more original. in short you both need to work on your detail and your characters thoughts, perceptions and feelings. I feel like you focused too much on what was happening without giving some context and interest. If you have any further questions or wish to dispute this judgement please pm me.

The fight started in an earlier thread that we continued here.
As for the terms; we used powers because it said we could in the site rules. I shall be more specific next time!

thats fine =) and yeah powers are allowed to be used in fights but it should be agreed upon because not everyone has a power =p Just remember the judges aren't reading your previous thread just what happens here, they should still be thinking more! I want to know what its like to be this horse fighting, how is he feeling, what is he seeing, what is he hearing, what is he feeling, what is he thinking?

Yeah, they're really just fighting because they're mad at each other...
But next time I'll be more developed in feelings and perceptions.
